Heraklion Local Buses (Get to Castello City Hotel)

There are tow bus stations for City Busses (blue buses) one is at the Airport and the other is at the Port. First you have to get a bus ticket from a kiosk and then to wait for a little while at the nearest bus stop for the bus to come. You can tell the driver to stop at the Chanioporta (Chanion Porta) or Castello Hotel or Platia Koraka (Koraka Square). If you miss the first bus stop you can stop to the next one which is at the 62 Martyron Avenue. Both bus stops have about the same distance from the hotel and it is just tow minutes on foot. You can recognise the place from the National stadium of Heraklion or the Ancient Venetian Walls. The distance from the airport is about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic.

Heraklion Coach Buses (Get to Castello Village)

There are also two bus stations for Coach Buses (green buses) one is at the Port and the other is at the Koraka Square, opposite Castello Hotel. You have to take the bus from the Port that goes to Lassithi (Agios Nikolaos). You can get your ticket inside the bus and your bus stop is at the Village of Sissi. The distance from the port is about 60 to 90 minutes (by bus).

Although you can find a taxi station both at the port and the airport but we recommend you to make an online taxi reservation so to be sure that it will be there at the time of your arrival waiting for you.
